he GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software suitable for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It can be used as a simple paint program, an expert quality photo retouching program, an online batch processing system, a mass production image renderer, a image format converter, etc.
IMapTool is a utility for creating client-side image maps in X the Window System. It supports all three shapes, rectangle, circle and polygon. It loads jpeg and gif images.
fiximg.pl examines HTML files and changes IMG tags to hold the WIDTH and HEIGHT sizes. Putting the size in IMG tags will speed up loading the page with Netscape. When HTML files are edited manually, putting in the sizes is quite a hassle. fiximg.pl will try to locate each indicated image, and determine its size if it is a GIF or JPG or XBM image.
This is a nifty little HTML authoring tool that will generate correct Netscape-style WIDTH and HEIGHT parameters for each of your IMG tags on an HTML page. This will allow the text portions of the page to load much faster.
Code to generate, slice, dice, puree, and chop GIF images. Includes both library routines callable from C and lots of useful utilities. Supports UNIX and DOS. Note: due to patent problems, using this library is legally risky. It may be withdrawn soon. You might want to check out the Python Image Library instead.
